The Lame Man on the Way

Acts 3.1-12

The disciples were learning to walk in the authority that Jesus had given them and that the Holy Spirit was empowering them. The outcome of that in this story was not just that a man got healed but that he received Jesus! It didn’t just stop there either, because his healing led to many others coming to know Jesus as well. The emphasis of the story is not on the healing itself, but that in Jesus we have a lot to offer people!

The story of Pentecost describes spiritual fire falling on the disciples. Something inexplicable was taking place that would ignite the disciples and change the course of history forever! Road to Emmaus

Luke 24. 13-35

After his resurrection, Jesus appeared to 2 disciples who were walking together on the road to Emmaus. They didn’t recognize him, but he helped them see how the Scriptures pointed to himself as the Messiah. Even though we don’t see Jesus and even when it seems like all hope is lost, Jesus is still at work in our lives!

Thomas Believes

Luke 24: 36–49; John 20: 24–29

Most people adhere to the old saying that says: “seeing is believing”. The Bible calls us to a different kind of faith. Thomas had to see it for himself in order to believe, but Jesus emphasized the importance of believing without seeing. We want the children to walk away knowing that, even if we can’t see him, Jesus is alive and he is with us!
